Background:

Sufabel community development initiative implemented an integrated Food Security Relief Assistance to internally displaced Persons (IDPs) and host communities in Gombe and Borno State Nigeria.

The project was funded by Sufabel community development initiative was aimed at providing food and non-Food items (NFI) to One Hundred and Fifty (150) IDPs and Host Community across two Local governments Areas (LGAs) in Gombe State.

Project Objectives

The Specific objectives of the intervention were to:

  1. Improve food availability and access through food assistance via in kind/cash and voucher based assistant to vulnerable household (150 IDPs and Vulnerable family in host communities)
  2. Improve the life standard of 150 IDPs and members of host communities in 2 LGAs of Gombe by 2018.

Project Achievement:

157 internally Displaced persons reached with food items using the food basket model

157 internally displaced persons reached with Non-Food Items

376 households assessed and reached with food and non-food items

1851 internally displaced persons and members of host communities sensitized on TB
