SUFABEL SET TO JOIN THE WORLD HEPATITIS DAY COMMEMORATION 2019
On July 28, 2019, people around the world will acknowledge World Hepatitis Day in an effort to raise awareness about viral hepatitis and the global effort to eliminate it. It’s estimated that 1 out of 100 Nigerians have had hepatitis in their lifetime, and many are unaware they have it.
Nigeria is one of 194 countries that have signed on to the World Health Organization’s Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis, committing to eliminate hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.
Sufabel Community Developments in Gombe, Yobe, Bauchi, Taraba, Adamawa and Borno are set to join the world hepatitis day 2019 to raise awareness among it community members on the dangers of hepatitis and to ask the community leaders to invest in eliminating Hepatitis in Nigeria.
